Guilan Road Trauma Research Center (GRTRC) was founded by Dr. Shahrokh Yousefzadeh-Chabok in October 2004 and inaugurated officially in 2004 Research Week. Developing the first Iranian Trauma System by 2017 is one the most important agendas of GRTRC. With respect to the center's missions for developing trauma knowledge and conducting research and educational activities on prevention, treatment and rehabilitation related to road accidents in addition to offering strategies for promoting public safety in order to prevent injuries, GRTRC intends to hold commemoration ceremony for the first time in Guilan province on November 16, 2014 on the World Day of Remembrance for road traffic victims. Beside holding commemoration ceremony in Poursina Hospital in Rasht, our programs include notifying about this day by media as well as banner and stands in the city, publishing a special issue and holding children's painting exhibition on road crashes. We hope we'll be able to improve road safety and reduce driving crash hazards through holding this ceremony.

Memorial for victims of Road Accidents on World Day will begin on November 16, 2014.

We hope this event would be a step for reducing the risk of accidents and a healthier community.
