The Third Meeting of the Specialized Workgroup on Drowning Prevention
The third joint meeting of the specialized workgroup on drowning prevention was held at Social Affairs Office of Guilan Provincial Government on January 19, 2019.
representatives of organizations in the office of the social affairs of Guilan provincial
government attended in a joint meeting to examine the factors affecting the
prevention of drowning, and various interventions were discussed. The meeting
was also scheduled to discuss more detailed evidence of drowning using trauma
system data and findings from the provincial government, the Red Crescent, and
other related organizations. Finally, guidelines for the preventive interventions
of drowning in the sea, rivers, pools and dams were determined to be made
available to the Social Affairs of the Provincial Government by GRTRC, and the
final summary of these interventions be provided by the Social Affairs of
Guilan Provincial Government about how they are implemented, the legal
requirements, and the involved organizations.
